Mr.Pearl's inspired runway at John Galliano

I forgot to comment on this John Galliano A/W 2010-2011, which struck from this collection, is the mix of what we would expect a proper English gentleman from the 19th century to wear with the undergarments from his feminine counterpart from the same period and I think I know were it all came from: Mr. Pearl
But who is Mr. Pearl? he is the alter ego of one Mark Pullin; he’s a legendary corset maker who has an atelier near Notre Dame Cathedral in Paris as legend has it. He has provided corsets for the haute likes of Christian Lacroix, Vivian Westwood, John Galliano and also for stage performances for Kylie Minogue and Dita Von Teese among others. Recently I read somewhere that corsets should be as part of men’s wardrobe as much as ties and suits to eradicate beer bellies, which is quite accurate as Mr. Pearl has the smallest waist for a man in the world.
Granted we don’t expect such extremes from your regular fellows, but to say farewell to the beer belly we can absolutely demand that much, those are even painful to look at from afar.
So yeah Galliano is up to something.
