Beatriz Camacho @ Colombiamoda July 2009

Austrian painter Friedensreich Hundertwasser was the inspiration behind designer Beatriz Camacho’s latest fashion proposal presented at the Cromos Runway at Colombiamoda July 28-30, 2009; the accessories were designed by Alexander Calder for prettifying effect.
A collection full of bold prints following a palette of earth tones contrasted against big necklaces and simple makeup. Gold was a big performer in this collection present in necklaces and sequined fabrics. Her color way reminded me a bit of the RLss09 collection even with the golden sequined pieces here and there, however even if some similarities apply Camacho’s collection stands on its own with pieces women anywhere would like to wear, with clever draping, transparencies and a certain richness.
The designer does not seem to have a web page sadly.
